

This was almost 42 years to the day from Catfish Hunter's perfect game, also pitched in the Coliseum. Recently, the Coliseum has seen baseball history when Dallas Braden pitched Major League Baseball's 19th perfect game. The two complexes sit on 132 acres of space with parking space for 10,000 vehicles. The arena was renovated the following year and its capacity was increased by 4,000 seats and 72 luxury suites. The Coliseum was renovated in 1995 and added 22,000 seats, 90 luxury suites, two new scoreboards, and two private clubs.

Recently renamed the McAfee Coliseum, the building is part of a sports complex that includes the Oracle Arena. The Oakland-Alameda County Stadium opened in 1966 and for years since then has been host to concerts, special events, and baseball and football games.
